Sports day

We couldn't break up for summer without our annual sports day. We carefully planned a very safe and socially distanced event and invited children at home to join in remotely. It was a fantastic morning! Lots of certificates have been awarded for great sportsmanship, determination and team work.  Well done Amington Heath!!

Outdoor Cinema

As part of end of year celebrations, we invited all children back into school for a socially distanced outdoor cinema evenet complete with popcorn, slush and sweets! It was lovely to see everyone. Enjoy the summer holidays!

Dragon Quest

Dragon Quest is a whole school mini adventure to celebrate reading. Each year group has a different ‘expertise’ and each is linked to a different genre of writing. A quality text supports each year group’s learning and all are linked to the theme of Dragon Quest. This means the stunning start can be shared by the whole school and everyone can share in the excitement! Dragons are not part of the curriculum and that is not the focus of the learning. Children are becoming artists, scientists and designers but all through the fun and excitement of dragons. Not all stunning starts are on this scale but this is an opportunity to have a memorable stunning start that will really inspire and motivate fabulous writing and learning.

As part of Book Week, which focused on the book FArTHER, children throughout the schoollearnt about remeberence. As part of their work, the chidlren created a rememberance garden to commemorate 100 years since the end of World War One.
